Who are the Thinky Dinks? We are a 3rd grade Destination Imagination team from Brentfield Elementary. Our team of 7 includes Elaine Mullinnix, Mia Hindman, Chad Howard, Jake Vinton, Mitchell Rittiluechai, Dancie Vieyra and Mia Ridzinski.
This is the first year we have competed, and as a very young and new team, our goal was to make it past Regionals to the State Tournament. Well, not only did we place 1st at Regionals in our division, but just this past weekend we placed 5th in the State Tournament which earned us a spot at Globals in Knoxville, TN!
But we need YOUR help to make this happen for this special group of kids.
As their parents, we could not be more proud of what our kids have accomplished as a team! They have spent countless hours after school and on the weekends planning, designing, building, and practicing together. We are very excited about this amazing opportunity that they have earned through their hard work. So now, we are working to help them raise the funds required to register and attend this event in May.
Global Finals, which kicks off on May 20, hosts teams from virtually ever state and more than 30 teams from across the world. Teams travel to the University of Tennessee in Knoxville to compete against the best of the best from around the globe. That means registration, transportation, housing, and lodging expenses for the team, coaches, and parents. Any support you can provide is greatly appreciated!
This is a tremendous opportunity for the team to compete against the best US and International teams, and a chance to experience global interaction with students from around the world, throughout various events.

What is DI?
Destination Imagination is an educational program that fosters innovation and creativity in kids from Kindergarten all they way through College level. In the fall, each team selects one of seven Challenges and then spends the next 2-4 months collaborating as a team to design and build their Challenge solution. Teams first complete at the Regional level, with the opportunity to advance to State, and potentially onto Globals.
