The Sawyer Foundation
Donation protected
My wife and I have felt led to set up an organization to honor our son, Jeffrey Sawyer Knauff. Sawyer passed away June 13th, 2017 while at an in-home daycare.
The organization has two immediate goals. The first is to get in front of the South Carolina legislature and pursue a law that we would like to call "Sawyer's Law." We want this new law to require all in-home daycares registered with the state of South Carolina to have a monitor in any infant room where the caregiver is not present.
Secondly, we want to organize some sort of function once or twice a year in order to raise money to provide monitors to underprivileged families. We want to help as many people as possible to have the peace of mind while their infant is sleeping.
While we are in the beginning stages of getting this organization set up, we wanted a location for people who feel led to donate to be able to do so. Please help us in making a mark in our community in honor of our perfect baby boy.
