Help Rowdy!

Rowdy Jo is a four year old fox terrier/sheltie mix and our baby girl. On May 13th, she went in for a routine check up on what we thought were allergies. Upon examination, our vet could not hear Rowdy's heart and immediately wanted to do x-rays. We were then rushed to UT's Veterinary College because her chest cavity was full of fluid. After several terrifying hours, a chest tap, and lots of tests, Rowdy was diagnosed with chylothorax, a disease caused by unknown reasons that floods her chest cavity with lymphatic fluid and keeps her lungs and heart from functioning. She needs a life saving surgery to close off the leaking ducts in her body before scar tissue builds around her lungs and keeps them from permanently losing the ability to fully inflate. The surgery alone is $3,500 not including the tests, scans, fluid drainage she has already undergone/will need pre-op, and any additional surgeries to assist in the function of her little body's ability to process lymphatic fluids. If Rowdy doesn't have surgery, we will eventually have to put her down before she completely loses the ability to breathe. This is not an option. Please help Rowdy's family save her life.
