The Rooney Tree

Mrs. Anitra Rooney will always be a rock here at Otay Ranch High School whose  presence is deeply missed. She is the epitome of what a Mustang stands for. In her honor, we are fundraising to create and maintain a garden memorial for students to enjoy, reflect, and remember Mrs. Rooney. The garden will be located around the Rooney Tree in front of her room. It will be complete with seating, shade, stone walkways, ground cover, flowerbeds, and a plaque memorial for the tree that Mrs. Rooney herself donated to our campus.
