Theo's NICU Journey

Donation protected
Theo was born at 25 weeks gestation, weighing 1lb 14oz. He spent 123 days on the NICU fighting for his life, but thankfully, we got to take our new baby boy home. He's got chronic lung disease, is severely deaf in both ears and had a couple of severe bleeds on his brain, which we will hope and pray don't have any lasting damage..... All in all, we are lucky to have him.....

He's still got a long journey ahead of him, but with a strong family behind him, his world will be his oyster!!  We are raising money for St Mary's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in Manchester, without whom, Theo would not be alive today.

We are also raising money for Ronald McDonald House in Manchester, who took us in for 111 days (completely free) so that we could be close to Theo and spend every waking hour with him, whilst being able to stay together as a strong family unit.

There isn't enough we can do to thank the NICU or Ronald McDonald House for what they did for Theo and us.... so I am sharing my '123 days in NICU' diary over the next 123 days to online at www.theosnicujourney.com to raise money for them both.

I hope that by people reading my 123 day diary and sharing it to spread it's reach, it will help parents that may be going though this experience themselves, increase awareness of the great work being done by the NICU and Ronald McDonald House in Manchester, and at the same time, generate cash for some much needed NICU equipment, and to help towards the cost of maintaining the 61 rooms that are so fundamental to parents being able to be stay so close to their sick children.....  Unfortunately, many parents during our time weren't as lucky as us.....

Please donate what you can..... every single penny received will be given to the charities. It costs £9,125 to house one family for a year in Ronald McDonald House (there is no charge to the family at all) and the NICU rely on donations from the public to buy new equipment (which costs £000's)....

I wouldn't like to think how much it cost to keep Theo alive, but I'm sure it was a lot....  Please share the heck out of my diary, and I hope #Theosnicujourney over the next 123 days touches your hearts......  www.theosnicujourney.com

Lots of love from us all.....
