About "The Heart of the City":
My name is Robert R. Bell, also known as Bboy Fantum. Throughout the many years of my dance career I have always wanted to do something to inspire the youth in my community. My vision was to bring the youth together to allow them to celebrate in the beautiful culture of breakin' (breakdancing), to embrace and thank their supportive parents and to introduce their friends and family to our events and what we do. I was inspired to create an event that could encompass all of these ideas and I named it "The Heart of the City". I wanted to offer a free event with free workshops to allow any child the opportunity to participate without having to worry about the financial constraints in order to pursue their dream to dance.
Our Mission:
Our goal is to be able to bring this event to every city in Florida and to have the participants continue to spread what they have learned and to pass on this tradition to other's in different cities all over the country.
Your Donation:
Because the first
"The Heart of the City" was such a success and inspiring, many kids
and parents were very eager for the next event. We are fundraising to prepare for
"The Heart of the City 2" event to take place on Friday, November 2,
2012.
Your donation will allow us to have a professional camera man
document the event, fund a professional DJ, provide travel funds for special guest
Candy Molia also known as Bgirl Candy from Orlando, Florida to come teach in
the free workshop offered during the event, prizes for the winners, flyers and
other miscellaneous supplies.
