4/25- Xenas daily meds....more get added each visit to the vet. Chemo and More draining was done today...she had 2 great days over the weekend but yesterday and earlier today she was very uncomfortable and she is losing the strength in her back legs so yesterday and today I had to pick her up to put her in and out of the car and off and on the love seat. No more stairs for my little bean. She just looks at me and thinks. "You seriously want me to climb those stairs when there is an elevator we can take" lol Keep the prayers coming for little miss Xena!!!

4/14 Update: 2.5hr procedure and 2.25liters of fluid removed. Xena is feeling sooooo much better and looking like her old self!!!! Think of a 2liter bottle of soda for comparison of the amount of fluid drained from her belly! Thank you all so much for the love and support for Xena!! With out your help these procedures and chemo would not be possible!! Xena and I are blessed to be surrounded by so many amazing people! We thank you!!! ❤️
-Stephanie

Update: Xena went back to Dr. Liz today for a check-up. She goes back tomorrow to have more fluid drained. The fluid will then be tested and chemo is scheduled to start on Tuesday. Please keep the prayers coming. Xena is still in good spirits considering all she's going through! - Stephanie 4/13
Update on Xena. We went to see Dr. Liz today, a cancer specialist who is absolutely amazing!!! The prognosis is not what I had hoped for as Dr. Liz said I have very sick little dog. She has many tumors and the major one on her Adrenal gland is compromising her blood flow. She has very high blood pressure because of the tumor. If left untreated, the Adrenal tumor can cause one of her vessels to rupture and could lead to INSTANT death.

Our main plan of action right now is to keep her as comfortable as possible with lots of medications/procedures to drain the fluid, See the vet 2x a week and to start her on Chemo therapy next week to slow the symptoms and progression of the tumor. All of the money donated will be going to her medical procedures/bills and medications to help keep her comfortable and with us as long as she allows. This is so incredibly sad and it breaks my heart because she is THE SWEETEST dog you will ever meet. I know all dogs are great but Xena is such a special little dog that instantly makes anyone happy the moment they meet her. Please keep her in your prayers! - Stephanie 4/10/17

At Max Effort, we are all one big family. We have always taken care of each other in a time of need. One of our family members needs us. Xena has become one of the family since she first walked into the gym. She greets everyone with her butt wiggles and hugs.

We recently learned that Xena has cancer. She has a lot of vet bills coming up while Steph does all she can to make Xeeny comfortable. She has tumors in her belly that are pushing on her organs and arteries. There is fluid building up, which makes her uncomfortable. She had a liter of fluid drained on Thursday and they had to leave about a liter of fluid to protect her organs from the tumors. It's a day to day battle and she needs our prayers. We love you Xena!!!
