Inner City Youth Mentoring Center

The First Tee of St. Petersburg aims to serve the underprivileged youth of South St. Petersburg.

All children deserve a chance to be successful in life.  A 50% drop out rate, a crime rate that’s at an all-time high, and a childhood obesity rate that is steadily increasing year after year are dismal statistics to face but are a reality to our youth in south St. Petersburg. The First Tee of St. Petersburg needs your help to change those statistics. We’re breaking ground on our longtime dream of building a Mentoring Center in November of 2015 (with completion expected in April of 2016). The mentoring center will serve as a safe haven for these children as they overcome the adversity they face on a daily basis.

Upon completion of the Mentoring Center, we will establish programs specifically targeted to improve the dilemma facing our community. A few of the programs include but are not limited to:

·         Adult to Youth Mentoring

·         After School Tutoring and Homework help

·         Health and Wellness Programs

·         The First Tee 9 Healthy Habits

·         The First Tee Life Skills Curriculum

·         Computer Literacy Programs

·         Community Resource Center
