TEAM KRYSTAL

Donation protected
I have this friend.  This amazingly sweet, sassy, brave, beautiful, compassionate friend.  We met at work caring for critically ill people.  Her heart is genuine and her mind, sharp.  I have worked with a lot of fellow nurses over the years, and there are a handful of them who chose this profession because it is their calling.  She is one of them.  I always enjoyed watching her work.  She's the complete package for any successful nurse.  She genuinely cares for her patients and strives to make them happy, healthy, and comfortable again.

Her name is Krystal.

Krystal is 29 years old and a wonderful mother to her 6 year old son, Nathan.  He is her mini-me and her everything.  I love seeing pictures of them together on facebook.  He loves his momma more than anything, it's pretty clear. :)

Here's the thing.  Krystal is fighting this stupid beast growing inside of her called a desmoid tumor.  The tumor is located in her abdomen and at the root of her mesentary and highly vascular making removal not an option at this point.  Her medical team has decided the best treatment plan is agressive chemo to try and stop its growth.  After 9 months of chemo, her medical team will reevaluate surgical possibilities.  If it's still not an option they will decide whether to do another 9 months of chemo or stop treatment.

So I know what I think of when I hear "chemo".  And it's not unicorns and rainbows.  Krystal is a few weeks into treatment and starting to experience the dreadful side effects.  This week Krystal lost her hair.  And this is where you all come in to play.

Krystal's work family has decided to open this account in order to get a custom, human hair wig made for her.  These things are extremly expensive but made to fit her perfectly and look like the real deal. She has always had long beautiful blonde locks, and we would like to help her get them back while going through this treatment.

Krystal has been SO strong through all of this.  She believes that God has a plan and praises Him in this storm.  Her heart is so big she even gives support to her supporters telling us to not worry, that everything will be fine.  Please donate.  Thank you all SO much.

We will be using http://www.caringandcomfort.com. Please check out their site. They do amazing work and are a family owned business. Blessings!
