Going to Nepal to Help

Dear friends and well wishers, my name is Shenpenn Khymsar and i am a Tibetan from The Himalayas. I am a filmmaker/photographer and a long time human rights activist. I have very close ties to Nepal and is very close to my heart.  As we all know the most saddening and devastating news about the horrific earthquake in Nepal which has claimed over 4000 lives and still counting. The country is in a state of emergency and there is a lot of need on the ground. The poor people of Nepal especailly in the remote villages are all stranded with no  medical care, sanitation, water, food or shelter. I am doing a fundraiser "Vancouver for Nepal" Benefit concert with the help of many artist friends in Vancouver on the 21st of May.  I have also decided to travel to Nepal by the end of May with medical supplies, food, water and help out on the ground. I am cancelling some of my work in Vancouver, LA and NYC so that i can travel to Nepal and be of service.  I am personally donating all proceeds from my photo exhibit to the aid. I will update and report daily from Nepal so that you are kept in the loop. Every single dollar donated here will be used directly for the cause and accounted for. There will be absolute transparency as the motive is to only help the people of Nepal. I am not going to be using money from here for airfaires either. The money will be used to help them with food, water, water purifiers, blankets, makeshift homes and distributing money directly to the needy. There is no way we can just sit here in our comfortable lives and do nothing. I have never asked for any help or donations before but this time i need everyone to help out. My goal is to raise $25K by the end of May. I will spend atleast a month in Nepal and provide food and supplies to the needy. Please be generous and help me help the victims of this tragedy.
