Nepal Remote Earthquake Relief Fund

We group of freinds originally from Nepal and currently in New York are trying to raise funds to send for earthquake relief in the remote areas of Nepal.
As you all know there was a massive destructive earthquake, of magnitude 7.9, which hit Central Nepal on April 25th, 2015. There was unimaginable loss of life and property with recent updates showing more than 4,000 dead, with the casualty expected to rise as the rescue efforts mount. Not to mention the loss of many temples and heritage sites which used to introduce our beloved Nepal to the world. The loss is immense and help has been slow to come. Most of the reports that have come forth, from national and international sources are about the affected areas in Kathmandu, one of the worst hit areas.
The distant villages, which are usually inaccessible by roads have been hit the most. The outreach there has been very little, even after three days rescue operation have not yet reached the epicenter of the earthquake, Gorkha.
Helicopter visuals show entire villages being wiped out. You can well imagine the condition people are in. It seems that the country is headed into another, yes another, Humanitarian crisis. They should get all the help they can. With many people living out in the streets due to fear of aftershocks, over 60 have occurred. It is expected that the sanitation and Health needs will be severely restrained. It would be disheartening to see the outbreak of Cholera, Diarrhea, among others. So, keeping this in perspective, we are doing what we can do best to raise funds as much possible.
We are looking to support the people especially in the villages, in and around Gorkha and other hard hit remote districts such as Dolkha, Dhading, Nuwakot, Langtang. The funds will go to organizations or people on site who are supporting the relief operation. We are still looking for most effective way to get the funds be used in proper places. Your every support counts and we hope we will be able to do much.
