Hi

My name is Patrick Le. My life has been extraordinary in terms of people I have met and helped. I've experienced love, loss, and heartache just like any human being. One thing I am very humble and proud of is my education. I've made it my life, and I have been given an opportunity to go away to school.

Finding my way as an individual in this life was difficult, but once I figured out my calling I never stopped doing what I was made to be, a Nurse. Naturally being me, I care for others before me. Not knowing it, my grandmother taught me compassion, sympathy, and love beyond borders. Diagnosed with lung cancer, I was by her side until her last days. Not knowing what was going to happen, she prepared me for my future.

Ever since then, I went onto pursue my education medically. Wanting to strive to be the best that I can, I wanted to become a Nurse, but not any nurse. I wanted to be a Oncology Nurse. It has been nine and a half years  of hospice and care giving and each patient, each family member I have met have taught me something new. My dedication and self determination to be the best for my patients and those around me in time of need, was where I belonged.

I've been living my life believing that I can make a difference. Making one person smile a day was how I wanted to end my day. Giving back to those less unfortunate by doing the simplest acts of kindness, sharing what I had or how little, made a world of difference for that person that day.

My cousin Stephanie (Thao) informed me of this website and pushed me with positive encouragement that this was possible. I could reach my goal and my dream and be the best. I am working with a transfer counselor of Grand Canyon University. I have an opportunity to finish my last year as a senior in college at a school away from home.

In order to get where I need to be, I have to finish paying tuition here in California. My mother taught me the ways of getting an education and how to pay for it. I was 18 years old at the time, and it has not failed me yet. My mother gave me the tools to get an education and I have have not stopped since. I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for my mother, father and my grandmother.

This educational opportunity will lead me to my dream, and transition into a master's program. I want to become a Nurse Practitioner one day and specialize in pediatric oncology and emergency pediatric care. I am so close, but I have one stepping stone I need to jump over in order to get to this final step in my education.

All proceeds will go directly to my education and if I exceed my goal, I will put it to room and board at Grand Canyon University. I am forever grateful and words cannot describe how much this means to me. I was not expecting any of this at all. From donating one dollar to five dollars or more, I am thankful. Genuinely I thank you all just for taking your time reading this.

Thank you for believing in me.
