It is with great sadness of heart that I set up this go fund me page for a dear friend of mine, Laurie Leslie, and her family. Laurie is one of the most reliable and compassionate people I know. She is loving and generous, and is always there for anyone who needs her. She has not only raised 4 children of her own but has also helped raise many foster children, who she has loved as her own. Her heart for others is inspiring.
In the past year Laurie (and her family) have experienced inconceivable loss. In September 2014, Laurie lost her dearly beloved brother and in February 2015 she lost her mother, who had been living with her and who she had a very close relationship with. On May 1st 2015, she lost her youngest son, Dakota Leslie (19 years of age) after a car struck him on his way home. Dakota is known as an incredibly intelligent young man with a heart of gold. He will be dearly missed.
Not only has Laurie, and her family, taken on great unbearable emotional grief, but also great financial burdens. With another tragic loss, comes more pain, which can only lessen over time, and more expense. This is where you can help relieve some burdens. Please help Laurie and her family by contributing to the fund! This fund will make it possibe to give Dakota the memorial that he deserves! It will also help with any remaining costs from the losses of other family members.
