On Monday April 18th 2016, I woke up thinking it was going to be like every other day, but soon to find out I was very, VERY wrong. Around 11:20am I received a text from my big brother, Joshua Duffer, saying "Leah is in labor right now, I'm having a child. No joke" I immediately dropped everything I was doing and called him. He wasn't joking. How could this be?! Leah didn't look pregnant and she didn't have any of the common signs of pregnancy. Needless to say I was freaking out, maybe a bit more than my brother in the moment.
At 12:59 I received a picture of a healthy baby girl, within mintutes I was on my way to Asheville from Boone to meet my new baby niece. All the emotions were flowing. None of us were expecting this, especially the mother and father. But this isn't as rare as you think! 1/2500 women don't know they are pregnant until they go into labor, this is called Cryptic Pregnancy.
We are ALL so excited to have this new addition in our family and we believe it to be a huge blessing for Josh and Leah as well as both sides of the family. I have no doubt in my mind that they will raise this child the same way she came into the world, with ease, strength, and grace, not to mention SO MUCH LOVE.

Josh and Leah were completely and utterly surprised to have this baby, therefore they were unable to properly prepare and save money for their newborn.
I have started this GoFundMe page to help raise money to get them started in the parenting process. Baby planning can be very stressful and overwhleming and I want to make sure that Josh and Leah are able to ease into this process as easily as possible. So I am asking please donate as little or as much as you can to support this new beautiful and healthy family.
We are beyond grateful for the support recieved already and excited for what the future holds for the new baby girl
