How do you describe Jermaine Witcher? Let us count the ways! These are ways in which I feel his family and friends have very accurately portrayed in these last 24 hours! He was a friend, an ear, a shoulder to cry on, an all around beautiful soul- he was so well known and liked that his passing is more unbelievable then so many things.
Looking at his page for me now is an emotional rollercoaster, but you just have to read stories when there about Jermaine!! I've laughed, I've cried, I've smirked, and smiled, and remembered all the good times (there were so many good times) and I'm positive you all have done the same!
I grew up with Jermaine, I remember well all of the days our parents would come together and let us all hangout and how fun he was to be around. He has some age on me but we'd still play basketball in the cut of woods at the backside of his house and he'd tolerate having to carry me or my siblings if we jumped on his back for a piggy back ride.. he was always accepting and always had your back and when you saw him in school he would light up your day..
Jermaine passed suddenly from getting food poisoning. He recently moved to CHINA of all places!! That's Jermaine! Always a curveball thrown in the mix. He was no longer home with his family. He was off on his own life Journey and he was excited!! In China he was FINALLY fulfilling his goals and dreams and trying to continue to be the good person we all know and love. He was being selfless and devoted and now he is gone from us and there's no answer to WHY!!?? why him. I know heaven will be a blast now that he's made it! It must have been time for Jermaine to go home.
Help Jermaines family be at peace! The costs of having him HOME (in Altavista Virginia) and having his services are unimaginable and he deserves this effort! There's not a person he met who's life he didn't impact.. He would be so happy that we're caring for his family in this way! No one wants or deserves to lose their child, or lose their brother, or their friend, prematurely and hopefully we can come together as a community who loves Jermaine and show our support. Many will agree he was like our brother and our friend! Rest in Peace Jermaine! We love you more than words can say!
