The Sunshine Girls

Hello friends! My name is Sarah Okeson- I am starting this gofundme page for our dear friends that we consider our family-
On Monday July 4th our world was suddenly turned upside down- Kylee West(8) and her twin cousins Bethany & Adelyn Bakke(4) were in a horrific car vs. 4-wheeler accident on Cotton Lake. Bethany and Kylee were life flighted to Sanford Childrens hospital in Fargo.   Adelyn was taken by ambulance to the hospital in Detroit Lakes and then transferred to Sanford in Fargo. Kylee broke her femur and Adelyn has bumps, bruises and a concussion.
Adelyn has since been released from the hospital and is resting at Grandpa & Grandma Green's house and is to be on low stimulation.
Kylee had surgery on her femur on the 4th and is still in the hospital working on pain management and physical therapy. Today she was able to move from her bed to the wheelchair and use the restroom. With continued progress she will hopefully go home very soon.
Bethany recieved very critical injuries and has since been taken by air ambulance to the Gillette Childrens Hospital in Minneapolis. On the evening of July 4th they operated for nearly 5 hours when they decided Gillette is where she needs to be. After her arrival they evaluated her multiple injuries. She has a broken jaw, injured vertebre and spine, broken left leg, multiple breaks in the left foot and significant soft tissue damage on left leg /foot.  As of now they are operating on her jaw today, foot/leg friday and spine on Monday. Blaine and Rachel are staying at the Ronald McDonald house connected to the hospital.
Any funds raised would go twards any medical expenses not covered by insurance, travel expenses for Rachel and Blaine, medical equipment needed for rehab and any other costs associated with Beth's recovery.
