Help Bring Sunny The Dog to Hawaii!

Donation protected
Sunny was rescued by a lovely woman who was protesting the Yulin Dog meat festival two years ago. She happened to walk by Sunny and despite having a punctured and infected left eye, he smiled at her. Her heart melted and she took him back to Shanghai with her dog rescue. Sunny has been living with 30 plus other rescue dogs and is one of the oldest at 3-4 years old. Yulin dogs don't survive rescue and the ones that do are super strong. After getting his eye removed, Sunny proved to be an affectionate and loving dog. They believe he was stolen from someone who loved him and sold to the meat traders. It's illegal in China to eat dog but the barbaric practice continues today with almost no legal repercussions. In one summer, up to 10,000 dogs in Asia are systematically tortured (according to superstition, it makes the meat more tender. Any real hunter or butcher knows that is biologically not true) and killed slowly. Sunny was one of the lucky few. He was slated to be butchered. Hi, my name is Lynn Li and I live in Hawaii. I loathe and despise the dog meat trade. I also feel that as an nurse and former veterinary worker, I can help give Sunny a wonderful life in Hawaii. I know it sounds crazy and impossible. But it's been done. People have had rescue dogs flown to the states from countries such as Thailand and China. I will be contributing to half the trip but I need some help. I need to cover veterinary bills in China and get the necessary paperwork for entry into Hawaii. I also plan on flying to Shanghai and personally picking up Sunny. If you find it somewhere on your heart to give a meat dog a chance, please help. Any amount is appreciated!
