STOP BULLYING NOW
As a supporter
of The Human Rights Education
Center of Utah, you are helping to educate children, teachers,
parents and communities at-large about the causes and consequences of bullying
in our schools, our society and our lives. Your support will enable us to
reach over 1500 children in our local communities during 2012.
Sadly, it is
estimated that 1.6 million children
grades 6 through 10 in the United States are still bullied at least once a week
and the National Youth Violence Prevention Resource Center reports that one out
of thirteen kids attempt suicide and almost 2,000 teens end their lives each
year. Many of these deaths are a result of bullying and Utah has not been
exempt from this tragedy!
To help combat this trend the HREC is proud to announce a new program designed to expand our efforts on what we do best: bullying prevention education.
A single $50 donation pays for a full hour of classroom instruction, which in turn can educate 30 students, opening their eyes to the consequences of bullying. Please consider giving any amount because no gift is too large or too small!
About the HREC
HREC is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that provides bullying prevention, character and empathy education to youth and their leaders. HREC also provides diversity education to private businesses, educational institutions, healthcare providers, churches, and non-profit organizations. Since 1999, we have trained over 40,000 youth and many adults in a variety of settings.
