Childcare For Sterling's Treatment
Donation protected
Shortly after getting our twins Wolfie and Dash home from the hospital, we noticed a small lump on our oldest son Sterling's left temple. The lump continued to grow, and we were dismayed to learn that Sterling has rhabdomyosarcoma (RMS), a type of soft tissue cancer.
Sterling will have surgery to remove the tumor and will then undergo chemotherapy for the remainder of the year. We are lucky to have excellent health insurance, so his medical expenses are expected to be minimal.
Our greatest need right now is childcare. The twins are too young for daycare and we will have to pull Sterling out of school when he begins chemotherapy in a few weeks. $15 buys an hour of childcare, which means an hour to run errands, take Sterling to an appointment, or give him special attention.
We will post regular updates about Sterling's treatment on our CaringBridge site.
