It's time to bring art to the Village, so we introduce "steAmfest 2017" - an arts and innovation festival. And to bring the Festival to Essex, we are seeking community support from art lovers to basement tinkerers to otherwise civic-minded citizens.
steAmfest 2017 will be a true community event, free to the public, with activities and exhibitions that appeal to all ages, including the new Essex Mini Maker Faire.
September 29th & 30th will celebrate the Arts while honoring the history of innovation in Essex. Through the theme "The Art of Disruption", steAmfest 2017 will use a showcase of art and exhibitions to highlight what happens when we experience the STEM fields though the lens of Art and Aesthetics (STEM+A =STEAM).

steAmfest 2017 will play out on the downtown streets of Essex Junction. While the festival has the support of the Village government, we are looking for citizen supporters to join the campaign. With citizen support, this festival will be funded in three key ways: through municipal funds, corporate/business sponsorships, and community-at-large funds.
If you believe in elevating the arts in Essex, if you want to increase access to the Maker Movement, if you want to see what happens when one looks at the STEM fields through the lens of Art or Aesthetic, if you believe in cultivating a creative economy in Essex, then this goFundme campaign is how to help make those goals happen.

steAmfest 2017, a project of The Essex Hub, LLC, has a mission to use arts and engagement as an economic engine in downtown Essex. The Essex Hub, LLC operates the co-working space in the Excelerate Essex 15 Pearl Street building and co-creating studio space at 9 Main Street.
The Heart and Soul of Essex is our 501(c)(3) fiscal sponsor and donations are tax deductible.
