Stem Cells for Brian

Dear All, Brian was an extremely premature baby born in Waterford hospital at 25 weeks weighing only 1.720 pounds! Unfortunately, he had many health problems at birth and spent over four and a half months in hospital. He went home when he was 4.9 pounds with oxygen as he had trouble breathing. Fortunately, he managed to overcome many of the problems. However, he was left with cerebral palsy, epilepsy and a problem with his eyesight called retinopathy. Brian is now three years old but cannot sit up or walk without assistance. To be able to grow normally he requires frequent and systematic rehabilitation. Every activity stimulates him to develop properly. At present, we as Brian’s parents are raising funds for stem cell therapy and rehabilitation. The cost of the surgery is huge-a single supply of stem cells costs €2500 Brian will need 10 treatments. After each application, Brian will have to attend residential rehabilitation which is also very expensive. This is a great opportunity to significantly improve his health. Unfortunately, to raise such a huge amount of money is not easy. We appeal to your good hearts on Brian’s behalf. Aby mogł w miare normalnie się rozwijać wymaga częstej i systematycznej rehabilitacji. Każde zajęcia są dla niego dużym bodźcem do prawidłowego rozwoju. Obecnie my rodzice Briana zbieramy fundusze na zabiegi podania komórek macierzystych i na rehabilitację. Koszt zabiegu jest ogromny- 2.5tys euro kosztuje jedno podanie komorek macierzystych. Brian bedzie potrzebowal 10 zabiegow. A po kazdym podaniu komorek musi uczęszczać na turnusy rehabilitacyjne które też są bardzo kosztowne. Jest to wielka szansa na znaczną poprawę jego zdrowia. Niestety ale zebranie tak ogromnej kwoty nie jest łatwe. Apeluje w imieniu swoim oraz Briana do Waszych dobrych serc, kazda nawet minimalna kwota którą jesteście gotowi ofiarować  jest szansą na polepszenie zdrowia i komfortu życia Briana.
