Smokey, partially paralyzed cat

This is Smokey. He is a 13 year old Maine Coon who, for the last 13 years, has been my best friend and the love of my life. Recently, he became sick and his back legs gave out. We've taken him in and are currently doing laser treatments, but these don't seem to be helping. An option we have is to see a specialist and do a Myelogram. Unfortunately, it is near Christmas and we cannot afford to do this. Smokey is a wonderful creature, full of life. I know that if only he could walk, he would have many more years ahead of him. This is my only option to help him. Thank you for reading, I hope you can help me help Smokey. I love him dearly, and it's my greatest hope to be able to help him walk again.
