Help Jessie Replace her laptop

Dear community: as many of you know, I was mugged on Monday, July 3rd, just a few steps from my own front door, in the middle of the day. I was lucky and got away with only a sprained hand. But I lost all my belongings, including my Mac Book Pro laptop (2013), my passport and CA state driving license.
I've never been ngood at asking for help, much less material assistance. But my laptop is my work tool. I cannot afford to replace it right now, yet I do all my writing and editing and translation work via that laptop. I appreciate any assistance toward helping me replace this computer. I'm trying to purchase a refurbished version, from the same Apple model. It was from 2013.
if I have any funds left over after purchasing the laptop, (from the $950.00, I'm trying to raise), I will use them, to help me pay for the replacement of my passport and other ID's.
