#SkaggsMakerMonday
Donation protected
School libraries are evolving and becoming a more inclusive and integral part of the campus. The perception of the library is shifting to be a place where not only learning and research happen, but collaboration and creativity are nurtured. Preparing our students to become digital citizens for the 21st Century means incorporating the STEAM Model; Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics into our most common area for learning- the library.
The Skaggs library will now include an area called "Makerspace" for open-ended creativity, construction, research and collaboration where students will flourish through discovery and sharing. The Skaggs Makerspace needs a starting point and we need your help in getting there. This looks like building a collection of the following; circuits, Lego Robotics, crafting/art supplies, and storage items to keep organized. Your donation will help fund the purchase of these items and many more to get our program up and running on the right foot!
We look forward to your support and you stopping by to check-out our "Makerspace" and the amazing ideas/projects created by our students!
Thank You!
Jamey Allen, Skaggs Principal
Nicole Geiler, Skaggs Librarian
