We would like to thank everyone who supported our efforts this year. The 2013 Expedition to Palau was a huge success. Please continue to follow our Facebook page for updates as we prepare for our 2014 Expedition to Palau. We will be shutting down this site today. Once again thank all of you for all of your support.

Our Expedition is going great in Palau. We have had the ROV down to 121 feet and spent up to 3 hours at a time surveying the ocean bottom. We have two more days of searching left to do. This is a new image of the Corsair. We test dove this as our first dive this year. We got the chance to dive it with the president of Palau.

Help the S.H.S. Underwater Robotics team return to Palau in March of 2013.  We will be returning to Palau to search for aircrews missing in action since WW II.

This years mission is to search for the last missing B-24 “Liberator” bomber and her crew. Based on our students’ success last year, the BentProp Project asked that we return with our improved Underwater Remotely Operated Vehicle or ROV and our towed camera array to help search for and record images of downed aircraft in Republic of Palau. When obtained, the images will be used to identify the aircraft and then her crew. The BentProp Project is a non-profit organization that travels to the Island Nation of Palau each year in search of downed aircraft and missing aircrews from World War II. Information related to The BentProp project can be found at bentprop.org

We are seeking $20,000.00 to continue our ongoing project through the purchase of reusable ROV components, audiovisual equipment and travel expenses. We are planning to return to Palau 25 March through 6 April 2013.

If you would like to donate by check, you can still do that.  Please mail your donation to:
