Equip the Bent Theatre Podcast

Since 2004 Bent Theatre has been entertaining Charlottesville with its improv comedy shows.  Our motto has always been "You Say It, We Play It", and from the first day we have shown our willingness to do that onstage and off.

Starting in 2015 we have begun expanding our enterprise with a weekly podcast called "The Show Bear Show"...weird name right?  Want to know what it means, don't you?  It's driving you a little crazy that I still haven't explained it and now I'm just annoying you, isn't it?  Anyway, "The Show Bear Show" gives our performers a chance to break away from crazy characters and improv sketches and actually be themselves.  Our actors are incredibly funny people in real life and we have a lot of things we are very passionate about and love to riff off of.  Every week we get a topic like a popular movie, tv show, book or any type of huge media and we talk about our own bold theories and share a few laughs.

The Show Bear Show

We've been doing it for about 3 months recording off of iPhones and using Garageband to edit the show.  Low budget, but you do what you can with what you have to do what you love.

This aim of this campaign is to help us afford better equipment (microphones and a sound board) as well as helping us pay for our hosting subscription.  Our free service only keeps our podcasts for 90 days and deletes them forever after that.

We love making people laugh and we really hope that we can continue bring you "The Show Bear Show" on a weekly basis with better production values and our full catalogue of shows.
