Help students with disabilities gain the skills and knowledge to be successful in the workplace.
Transitioning into adulthood is an exciting and also challenging time for students and their parents. Students with disabilities face an extra set of challenges as they and their parents learn to navigate a new range of support systems with their own unique set of requirements, options, policies, and procedures.
What if you could make the transition just a little bit easier? You can.
Please consider making a donation to fund a student with disabilities in the PA-NJ-DE to attend Students for APSE , a unique, dedicated program for students with disabilities between the ages of 18-21. The program is held on Mon, June 22, preceding the Annual Conference of the Association of People Supporting Employment First (APSE) in downtown Philadelphia.
Students for APSE features interactive, hands-on sessions to help students gain leadership and advocacy skills and learn practical strategies for successfully entering the workforce and becoming independent. Students also will have the opportunity to hear from local area employers and tour a dynamic workplace.
Our goal is to raise $5,000 to fund 100 students.
The cost to attend the conference can be prohibitive for some students. We want to see all students who want to attend have the opportunity. Your support can make that happen. No amount is too small. Any and all contributions are appreciated. Thank you in advance for your generous support.
