What is Sending Love Overseas?
Sending Love Overseas is a small organization aiming to make a big impact on the lives of deployed US soldiers. Our main goal is to provide these hardworking heroes with the essentials they need to stay strong, healthy, and focused during the trying times deployment brings. Sending Love Overseas achieves this goal through carepackages. We support 80-100 soldiers over a nine month period of deployment.
The Story behind the Cause.
Rewind a few months. It’s February 2014 and I get a phone call, it’s my fiancé. He starts out the conversation with an “it’s going to be okay…" then continues on to tell me about his orders for an upcoming deployment. As soon as that word hit me, “DEPLOYMENT”, my head started spinning with ideas, plans, anything and everything that would make this okay. Throughout the next few months, I was fortunate enough to meet some of the amazing men he serves with. Young adults, who are willing to do what they do, to serve and protect for the sake of each other, and their loved ones back home. I cannot accurately put into words how grateful I am for them and their bravery. I realized then that I had to do something not just for my soldier, but for the men who serve alongside him too. Care packages had always been my favorite way of staying connected with my soldier through long distances, so I decided that was the route I would take. Care packages are a small way to provide overwhelming love and support during their most trying times.
How to Get Involved
Sending Love Overseas is an opportunity for every individual, and community to show their support for the heroes who serve our country. There are many ways to send a little love our soldiers' way:
-->Write Letters For Our Soldiers Through Sending Love Overseas' Letters of Love Movement
Letters of Love is a Movement that stemmed from Sending Love Overseas. It is a way to put voices to our cause, and for soldiers to further feel the support of their community. Contributing to Letters of Love is simple! Start off your letter with a 'Dear Soldier,' and the rest is up to you. You can offer support, encouragement, information about yourself, tell jokes, funny stories, prayers, quotes, drawings, anything and everything that will show a little love to our soldiers! These letters can be any shape/size, on any type of paper (cards/stationary/looseleaf/etc.) you would like to use, and they can be any length you would like too! Whether it's one line, or 10 pages I can assure you, the soldiers will appreciate the effort!
These letters will be sent to our soldiers in bulk, and placed in the community area for them to take as needed.

Monetary donations will be used solely for the cost of shipping the care packages. Sending Love Overseas has experienced incredible acts of generosity from various companies, supplying us with enough product to send at least 6 care packages per month for nine months. Shipping averages $20 per box, therefore our goal is:
♥6 care packages x 9 mo x $20 shipping = $1080 GOAL
*any additional money raised will go towards products for the care packages, or any extra costs during shipping*

My Part.
I am actively contacting companies, reaching out to my community, and making sure that Sending Love Overseas reaches its full potential for these soldiers . I will be keeping everyone updated throughout the care package process trhough the updates section, and pictures when possible. Check in often, I would love for all of the Sending Love Overseas supporters to be able see their donations in action. I extend my greatest appreciation to each and every person who has turned what was a mere idea, into this rapidly growing reality that I could not be more excited for.
