UPDATE May 11, 2016: All we can say is WOW!!!! Port Clinton has once again shown how supportive we are of our students and families. Thanks to the efforts of an extremely generous community and school district WE WILL BE SENDING PC TO DC! We have reached our goal of raising $36,000 and we did it in just a few days. Many organizations and individuals have reached out to us indicating they would still like to donate. If you still wish to donate you can do so and the money raised above our goal will go to create scholarships for future trips on behalf of students who cannot afford it. WE ARE PC isn’t just something we say, to us it represents an entire community that rallies TOGETHER to do GREAT THINGS FOR OTHERS!

Port Clinton Middle School 8th grade students were scheduled for a trip to Washington DC on June 11th through Discovery Tours. We have since learned that Discovery Tours has closed their doors and taken $50,000 from our parents, district and community members. We are in the process of re-booking the trip to make sure our kids have the opportunity to experience the trip they already PAID for and we are confident we have another travel agency who can provide the same trip & experience for our students. The new trip is at a discounted rate but will cost $35,700. The BOE pledged to pay up to $17,850 and Port Clinton Academic Boosters has set up this GoFundMe page to help raise the additional funds needed. The students will be hosting other fundraisers as well but we ask you to consider making a donation to get PC to DC!

Port Clinton Middle School has been named a 2017 Model School by the International Center for Leadership Education (one of only 25 schools in the Nation to receive this honor) and a State and National Forum School to Watch.
