Sean's Fight Against Stage 3 Hodgkin's Lymphoma
This page was created for Sean and Corissa Fritts, to help them face the financial catastrophe of mounting medical bills as they prepare for the fight of their lives.
In March 2010 Sean was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma, and he has continued to bravely fight against this cancer for 4 years. Last November, after 3 years of 12 rounds of failed Chemotherapy, a failed Autogen (using your own cells) transplant and numerous painful hospital stays, Sean's lung collapsed. Doctors told him the worst news- the only way to beat the cancer would be for Sean to undergo a Stem Cell transplant. He would need to find a donor and hope that his body would accept the transplant.
A match was found and last year, November 2012, Sean prepared for this grueling procedure just weeks after the loss of his beloved mother. Never ones to lose hope, he and Corissa kept their faith and happily planned for their October 2013 wedding. Sean was the picture of health.
Just 2 weeks before they were due to marry, Corissa and Sean received a devastating blow. Sean's cancer is back. And it has spread to his pelvic bone, lymph nodes and lung. Sean was hospitalized the Sunday after his wedding and has been unable to work since then. He is in the fight of his life, yet still determined to beat this cancer...Although their first month of marriage has been anything but blissful, Sean and Corissa somehow manage to support each other through such heartbreak. As we look to celebrate Thanksgiving and the holidays, please say a prayer for Sean, Corissa, and their families.
