Bee-coming a Beekeepers Apprentice

Hello! My name is Cassandra and I'm looking to start my own beekeeping business here in central Florida.
I was born and raised in Chicago Illinois and recently moved down here to Florida! As of right now I work as a security officer in central Florida. But my love has always been in the field of animals and insects. And I want to get started in the field of beekeeping! What else could be more exciting and helpful to the environment! Bees are a critical part of our ecosystem.
My dream is to own a small acre of land where I can grow a verity of plants and set up my own apiary; a small collection of hives. I would be able to make my own organic honey share it with others as well as grow some veggies I can share with friends and family.
I’ve been doing research on available land to purchase out here. And so far the price range is a bit steep though I’ve found some nice areas. I am hoping to raise about 5500, if a little over that to be sure. The extra 1000 will be used to purchase supplies and required permits. Every dollar you donate will get me closer to my goal, and with your support and a little bit of luck we just might see a new honeybee farm that YOU helped to create!
And if this fund goes beyond 7000 I may just be able to build something special! Every little bit helps!
