Help Priest Kannan Battar's Family

Tax deductible
It is with profound sadness we share with you the news that Shri Kannan Battar (formerly with Malibu Temple, CA, Aurora Temple, IL and Meenakshi Temple, TX) passed away on Thursday, April 16 at Evergreen Hospital in Kirkland, WA. He is survived by his wife and daughter. He was the sole bread winner for his family.

The Seattle Community feels honored to have had Kannan Battar in our midst and he has touched each of us in a deep and profound way. May his soul rest in peace. We pray to the Lord to bestow strength upon his family in this time of sadness.

His illness has consumed the family of his life, their savings, and now his earnings. As you all know, the expenses for the events of recent days post hospitalization, and in sending his family to India are mounting in addition to the cost of his complex hospitalization and treatment for over a month.

Kannan Battar was a true human. He lived frugally for himself and was generous to others. Taking his example as our lead, it is time for us to show our generosity to their family. Your help in this profound cause is greatly appreciated.
