New Home for Train Town Kansas City

Train Town Kansas City will be leaving Ward Parkway Center. It is not because of anything that was done wrong, but basically sheer economics. Our working agreement with the shopping center was that we could have our space essentially rent free, with the stipulation that if a paying tenant came along we would have to move to another locations. That time has come and shortly we will begin the process of moving out.

Some of you may ask, “Where will you go?” The answer at this point is, “We don’t really know, but we are looking.”

Train Town Kansas City is looking for is a place where we can get a long term arrangement. But once again, the sticking point is cost. Train Town Kansas City is a non-profit organization. All of our members are volunteers, and even pay fees to cover our operational costs. The premise behind Train Town Kansas City is simple, provide the public with an introduction to Model Railroading and provide a location to do so.
