Rescue Pup with broken front legs!

Donation protected
Yesterday afternoon, South Bay Purebred Rescue saw a group message from a shelter about a four-month-old puppy that was found with both front legs broken.  One leg had the bone sticking through the skin; the situation was very bad. The puppy needed immediate rescue or would need to be put to sleep to end his suffering. He was at great risk of getting a bone infection due to that exposed bone.

Within an hour, a volunteer transport team picked up the puppy and started the four-hour drive to deliver him to his foster home's door. He went straight from there to Dr. Atwal at South Bay Animal Hospital so we could see how bad the damage was and if we could save at least one of this baby's front legs.

Dr. Atwal did an exam and took some x-rays. He estimates the injuries to be in the neighborhood of two weeks old! This puppy has been suffering untreated for a long time and is lucky to be alive. The leg with the exposed bone will need to be amputated. The remaining front leg needs to be plated and pinned. The prognosis is good! Now all we need is to raise the money to pay for orthopedic surgery ASAP!

Please help us help this brave little soul. He's been the sweetest thing in spite of his horrificly painful condition. We are a non-profit, all-volunteer rescue. All donations are tax-deductible.
