Racing 4 #SaveKiska/Mike Garrett

I am running my first half marathon (21.5 K/13 Miles) for Team Blackfish Racing this October 25th in Vancouver, BC. We are team of multi-sport activists that participate in athletic events and raise awareness for Orca Whales currently being held in captivity. I have decided to run my first race for Kiska who is currently being held at Marineland in Niagara Falls, Canada. She is the only Orca in captivity in all of Canada.

I am going to take sponsorship for my run and donate everything to Mike Garrett of St Catharines. He is currently facing a 1.5 Million Dollar SLAPP lawsuit from Marineland for publicly opposing their practices. Mike is facing some pretty hefty legal costs and I would like to do as much as I can to show my support for him. All I ask is a small donation. I may be running 21.5 km but Mike is the one truly facing the marathon in the coming months.
