Hi all - just a quick update on our beautiful Faith. Plans to put her in training are still in the works but have been postponed at this stage. We will update everyone when we go ahead and track her developmental progress.
We are still accepting donations for her ongoing care i.e vet bills, farrier, agistment.
Any goods such as rugs, leads, tack and training gear also kind accepted if you are planning to do a clean out.
Thank you greatly for your continued support and further updates will be provided soon.
We look forward to continuing this journey with you and Faith.
Sincerely,

Kate xoxoxo

Faith needs our help... To continue her rehabilitation to become a healthy and happy horse... Please help me raise the funds to send Faith to a trainer, as it's not something I can do on my own.

After 5 weeks with us, Faith is still showing signs of stress, trauma and anxiety. I believe this is more than temperament, for our Faithy. Therefore we have determined Faith needs to go to horsie bootcamp with a reputable trainer for at least 4-6 weeks. This is to assist her with behaviour training (like rehab / seeing a psychologist for humans), re-education under the saddle (as she has only ever been a racehorse), float and ground work training - as at this stage she is still very nervous, and somewhat afraid of being hurt again.
She has made progress and settled, but I feel it is best for her that she goes to a professional sooner rather than later to give her the best shot at starting a new career and life.
I am estimating on her current wellness and health, that we will send her into training Mid May.

Projected costs for her re-education and care while she is at the training facility is approximately $350 per week ($1,400 - $2,100 for 4-6 weeks). I have two trainers that I am considering for her, and I will update everyone when this has been decided. Faith deserves a second chance and we are going to give her the best shot possible in hopes for her to be a happy and healthy horse in the future.
Please help me raise the funds to send Faith to a trainer, as it's not something I can do on my own. As many of you would know $350 a week is like renting another house or paying a mortgage. Any support towards her training and hopeful new life will be gratefully appreciated and received with a warm heart. This is on top of her expected vet and dental, massage and chiro.
Thank you so much for donating, sharing and liking my campaign to Save Faith! Love, Kate xoxox #savefaithvic

My name is Faith,  my racing name was "Ring of Gold". I am only 5 years old! I raced twice in my career, but racing wasn't for me, I wasn't as fast as the other horses so I retired in 2014. My full story is unknown, but I was put up for auction on Sunday March 5th at the Colac sales in Victoria. My new friends Candice and Kate saw me in the sale yards and knew that my fate may be dark. They bid on me so I wouldn't go to the doggers, but the doggers out bid them because they couldn't be at the auction physically. I was sold to the Knackery for $520 and only had a few days live. I would be processed for meat within days of arriving.

I was scared and alone.

Kate didn't want to see my life taken from me and believed I deserved a second chance. So Kate spoke to the Knackery and put forward my payment and paid for transport away from that scary place.

I am now safe, but I have ongoing costs for care and rehabilitation. Thank you to those who have supported my rescue so far, I can't thank you enough.

This fund has been set up to help with my expenses, my rescue, my transport and setting me up in my new home. Kate is not working for a registered charity so funds gifted are considered personal to my rescue.  Thank you so much.
