Community Street Initiatives

Help Savannah Youth City Inc. Break the Cycle of Violence in our Community by working directly with the young people affected by crime. Your donation will provide intervention and support to those who feel as if they are "invisible" and "unheard".

Partner with us as we utilize inovative cutting edge techniques to reach those thought to be unreachable, end violence throughout the streets of Savannah, promote education, unemployment and healthy, productive lifestyles for all of Savannah residents.

Savannah Youth City seeks to have a community free from fear, intimidation, aggression, hostility, and violence. By building trusting relationships, Savannah Youth City, has been able to recover guns, in efforts to make the community a safer place to live.

Our organization plans to provide counseling for the individuals, who previously possessed these weapons, as resources are generated to do so. We are also seeking to find a concrete way of destroying the guns, so that they will not be recycled back to the streets.

Currently it is illegal for law enforcement to destroy the guns, but private entities are free to disassemble the guns or destoy them. The funds collected will be used to continue these efforts.
