Hi everyone,
On April 6th, instead of spending the day eating cake at my dad's birthday party, I will be running the Manchester Marathon. Considering I was once rejected for the year 3 cross country team at primary school, this may not seem like the best way to spend my day but I am hoping that you can help me to make my efforts worthwhile.
This temporary insanity is in aid of the orphanage that myself and nine other Leeds Uni Law students are visiting this summer in New Delhi, India. We will help the children in whatever way we can, from taking them to school and playing with them in their spare time. Whilst they are at school we will be involved in various other projects in the New Delhi area, including teaching in slum schools, helping in medical centres and supporting a female empowerment project, all of which are funded by Plan My Gap Year, the organisation we are travelling with. Therefore any donations will not only send volunteers to the project; they will ensure its survival.
I would really appreciate any contributions towards the trip, as this will enable me to go to a completely new place and support fundamental work done in the local community.
