Ruth Petrey is a 72 year old woman who suffers from Osteoarthrosis. Recently, the condition had become so chronic that her legs collapsed from under her, and now Ruth can no longer get to her feet unassisted. Her daughter Edie has been fantastic with taking care of her mother, but is unable to help her mother get to her feet by herself. Medicare will pay for a basic lift, but it only lifts the patient from one prone (laying down) position to another. Ruth can stand if she just gets the help she needs to rise to a standing position. A more advanced lift (See photo of the lift on this page) can help her do that. We need the help and support of all caring people to raise the money to purchase a lift for Ruth and help her keep her independence. Anything you can do to help would be wonderful. Thank you.
