Our mission with Salt Flash?
Build and Ride the World’s Fastest BSA A10 at the world famous Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah, USA at Speedweek. It's a petrol head's dream.
While that sounds easy, it isn’t. Just getting there is a challenge in itself, before you start trying to get the best from your bike at 4219ft and 120 Fahrenheit! Our personal goal is to achieve at least 130mph on a machine initially designed for 60mph.
We first competed in 2012, we went back in 2014, with a completely new bike built on the lessons from the first trip. However the event was cancelled due to adverse weather - the 3rd time in 60 years. So we paid out a lot of cash shipping ourselves and the bike out there and didn't actually get to run our bike.
So we are determined to go back this year to actually claim our record, but we need to raise the cash to get the bike, and ourselves, out there again. The target of this campaign will cover our bike shipping costs, our competition entry fees and the van hire. We are covering the other costs ourselves.
We are entered into a class where there is currently no record set, so as long as we make it down the Salt, we will be record holders in our class. But our goal is much higher than this!
