The Salina Sirens Roller Derby team is currently practicing in a facility that is not only dangerous but inadequate for such a well developed team.
Their Hope is that through you and this campaign they are able to have their very own facility that they could share with other teams and the community. Having their own facility would allow them to become fully self sufficient in terms of cash flow from ticket sales and events. It would be amazing for these women to have a "HOME" and involve local businesses and the community in a way that is currently, not possible.
Roller Derby is costing each skater $100's of dollars, time away from family, injuries, medical bills, and much, much more. At the very least it would be an honor to provide them with a facility that reflects their passion, hardwork and dedication.
The Salina Sirens have wanted to host skate / fitness bootcamps for all ages from children to seniors but have never been able to. This isn't just a sport you watch, you can participate, and it's a blast. They have 100's of plans for community events however they are done planning and ready to take action.
