Mission: The Safe House of Chicago focuses on creating
personalized life assessment plans for inner city at risk youth in order to
guide them to pursue better life choices, enhance literacy, quality of
education, health, and wellness ultimately leading to a safer Chicago.
The Safe House of Chicago provides a non-violent atmosphere for today's inner city youth that will encourage growth and promise. It also provides the youth with the resources to receive assistance with any issue they may encounter in every area of their lives while growing up in Chicago's inner city. The facility, when built, will be multifaceted and have many venues that appeal to today's youth. The Safe House of Chicago provides a safe alternative for Chicago's teens that will allow them to fellowship with others their age while introducing them to other avenues of life, and ultimately removing them from the streets away the threat of violence.
All donations will go towards materials and operational costs for the classroom activities. The donations will also be used to fund trips and other activities that the youth are introduced to while being a part of our program.
The
Safe House of Chicago is an organization specializing in creating an
environment where the youth can discover new found inspiration for
excellence. They are encouraged and
challenged to release the environmental inhibitions that prevent them from
being youthful. The Safe House of
Chicago researches and develops a detailed understanding of the actual culture
of each genre of youth that is encountered in order to understand their culture
and tailor their specific path to progress and success. The youth are also
coached into creating new short and long term goals for their lives. The Safe
House of Chicago has an after school program where the Real Talk Forum's
Curriculum is implemented, and the youth are able to express concerns and
questions from their own lives. The
youth get the opportunity to discuss whatever is challenging them in these
sessions. They are often refocused to
better, more positive thinking after the sessions. The Safe House of Chicago
staff has designed a plan to get the youth and the schools back on track and up
to, if not above, standards.
