No chain No pain O.V.M.S
Donation protected
We are students from Oak Valley Middle School who have started a service learning project called No chain No pain O.V.M.S. All over Michigan, dogs are being left outside tethered up for days on end without access to proper care. Dogs that are tethered for 24/7, are likely to become aggravated from environmental stress; and therefore more likely to attack. An estimated 51% of dog bites were by dogs who were tethered up or had been chained without a break (Elaine Modlin, animal control officer). In varying weather depending on the seasons, dogs left outside can overheat or freeze. Few laws or ordinances address the cruelty of chaining and/or tethering. Dogs that are kept chained are more at risk for deadly diseases such as Erythema Infectiosum (also known as filth disease). Our goal is to raise money for oranizations set on helping these poor animals. By donating you are supporting our cause to help dogs confined by chains to live better lives.
