Bonding with Baby Brooke

As many of you know Kayshia and Ryan are preparing to welcome their first child, baby Brooke, this coming July. However,  due to a sudden onset of preeclampsia, a condition in pregnancy that causes high blood pressure and sometimes fluid retention, Kayshia is now at Maine Medical Center in Portland Maine, where she and Brooke are being monitored around the clock to ensure that they continue to be healthy.

Due to the severity of of her preeclampsia Kayshia and Ryan have been informed that they will likely delivery their little girl within the next two weeks. Kayshia is currently 28 weeks pregnant, however Brooke is measuring small, only 1lbs 13oz. After her birth, Brooke will be staying in the NICU, for an undetermined length of time.

Due to her sudden hospitalization, Kayshia is no longer able to work. Ryan is traveling between the hospital in Portland Maine, to Auburn where they live, he continues to work and is completing his college courses to graduate in June. Sadly when Ryan is away Kayshia is often without family, as her family lives in Oregon. 

As a friend of Kayshia and Ryan's, I am asking for your help in providing them with enough money that would allow Ryan to be with Kayshia at the hospital. To help her through the ups and downs that come with each of Brooke's heart beat increases and decreases; to help calm her when her blood pressure begins to climb and blood work has to be completed. But most of all I am asking for your help to allow Kayshia and Ryan to be together at the hospital as much as they can be to bond with baby Brooke.
