My name is Adam Zalusky and I am the youngest of 3 kids in the Zalusky family. I am putting this page together for my dad Dave Zalusky who is battling Pancreatic Cancer. The battle has been a long and hard one that has just eclipsed 3 years. Throughout this battle my dad has gone through everything from Whipple surgery taking away half of his insides to just recently a blood infection that lasted 3 months and will end up being his downfall. He has gone dozens of radiation and Chemotherapy sessions with his infectious smile that makes people fall in love with him. A little over halfway through this battle he actually had a complication from the Whipple surgery that caused him to almost internally bleed to death.
That blood infection I mentioned earlier that would be his downfall happened for the first time in January hospitalizing him for 10 days. He was hospitalized 2 more times in February for 18 days and 5 more in March. During this 3 month stretch my dad had to stop his chemotherapy and that caused his Pancreatic Cancer to come back with a vengeance. It went from a small spot in his left shoulder/neck area to huge growth in his bones, lungs and his entire spinal cord. His spinal cord could sever at anytime because they can't see what direction the tumor is growing. Radiation isn't an option due to the spinal cord and Chemotherapy is moot at this point and time. Moving forward he will be doing in home hospice care and managing pain. The Doctor said the Cancer won't kill him it will be the pain and we need to manage it. So in closing he will basically be given pain medicine in larger doses as time goes on and his pain increases until he eventually drifts off to sleep for the final time.
Medical bills just keep piling up and any donation would help. I understand if you don't or can't but we also accept Shares of this post and positive vibes help as well during the final stages of my dad's life.
My mom and dad are my best friends, my heart and soul and my heroes and I just want one less thing to be on the table for them to worry about!!!
