RMS Archery Travels to Nationals

Donation protected
The Riverside Middle School Archery Team is a co-ed team of twenty-three  6th, 7th, and 8th graders from Anderson School District Four in Pendleton, SC and are coached by two LaFrance Elementary teachers, Jeff Terry and Stephen Brock.  The team competes locally, statewide and nationally through the NASP program.  Riverside Archery's mission is to grow and develop young students not only into great archers but also into student-athletes of character and honesty.  The coaches challenge the team to set high goals and expectations for themselves, pushing them to reach deep down, to achieve their goals and test their limits.

Last week, the team reached one of its goals when they won the SC Archery Tournament held in Sumter, SC making them back-to-back state title holders.  Their next team goal is to represent SC in the 2015 NASP National Tournament being held in Louisville, Kentucky May 7th – 9th.  The team is required to pay for all expenses related to the tournament, and the travel costs for a team of twenty-three is very high.  The students need to raise $15,000 in the next three weeks in order to attend that tournament and proudly represent SC.

The team and coaches are dedicated to representing SC well in the tournament as evidenced by them practicing during Spring Break.  They need your support in order to attend the tournament.  No donation is too small – every penny counts.  Please consider helping this awesome team reach their next goal by donating today.  Your support is very much appreciated!
