Hello my name is Mariah and I am 18 years old. I belong to a family of 4. My father John, my mother Melissa, and my brother Nathan. My mom Melissa 38 was diagnosed with Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) around christmas 2014.
My dad has a full time job, and just recently took on a second job to help pay for my mom's treatments (chemo) that are being done at City of Hope. Unfortunatly, while we need to keep up on all our bills and the payments for her treatments, my dad has been needing to take off time to drive down to see her also to stay with her, and be her support. Taking time off work to make sure my mom's hopes stay up is taking a toll on us keeping our head above water financially. She just recently got out of coma and has been having to basically learn her movements all over again. She also is now needing a care taker.
We have a long journey ahead of us. Please keep my mom in your prayers, and my father for his strength. We know God has a hand in this, and there is a bigger plan for our family. We thank you from the bottom of our heart.
