Last Saturday, March 5, 2016 our dear friend, Todd Ruopp, was admitted into the Orlando Regional Medical Center (ORMC) Emergency Room with abdominal pain and they discovered a mass in his rectum, which turned out to be Squamous Cell Carcinoma.
Most of you who know Todd are aware that there isn't a negative bone in his body and that he has spent most of his life doing community service, caring for others and quietly doing God's work without looking for accolade’s.
When Todd posted news of his recent illness on social media, many of us may have shed a tear but were encouraged almost immediately by Todd’s courageous words:
"If there is one thing I know about myself is that I do not dwell on the negative. Instead I see potential everywhere I look. In people, in institutions, in campaigns-to change the world. This manifests itself most frequently in my sense of humor. I laugh in the face of adversity all the time. I'm still pragmatic about my recovery but I refuse to take things so seriously that it actually creates stress and degrades my health."
Please consider this opportunity to support our friend, son, brother, neighbor, co-worker and / or confidant by sending prayers and making a gift to his recovery fund.
