Replace Lee Townsend's stolen gear

On Sunday 15 October 2017, my friend, Lee Townsend had all his camera equipment stolen. His insurance had expired and he is now faced with the unenviable prospect trying to replace £5000 worth of gear on his own.

 

This would be bad enough, just in financial terms but, as well as being his passion, photography is how Lee earns a living, and is central to the considerable service he does to his local community in Croydon, through community groups he has set up and runs single-handedly, as a labour of love. Lee is also currently studying for an BA Hons in Photography at the University of Westminster at the moment, and the progress of his studies is made much more difficult by the loss of his camera. The aim of this campaign is to raise sufficient funding to replace Lee’s equipment; to help him to carry on earning his living, furthering his education, and serving his community.

 

Although I have only known Lee for a couple of years, being able to call him a friend is one of the great privileges of my life. It is rare to meet people as positive as Lee, or with his generosity and devotion to serving his community. His work touches lives in a way that few people achieve. Donations made to this campaign represent an investment in a man who, every day, improves the lives of others in countless ways. Please help us to help Lee, now that he needs some assistance.
