Repairs at St. Michaels

St Michael’s Lutheran Church is a Beautiful Gate for many. For 287 years, this church has been a space of welcome for orphans, Revolutionary war heroes, women in need, and even George Washington’s gingerbread baker.
Today, it continues to be a Beautiful Gate for the surrounding community. Children and their families bless our halls with their laughter during our Halloween and First Friday events. This is because church goes beyond the Sunday service and our doors are open and welcoming to all who enter.
For 5 years the Community meal ministry has been feeding hundreds each Saturday by nourishing their stomachs and souls. And in turn refilling each and every week.
Today, we are making a simple request of whatever you can afford to help us with a capital project that will allow St. Michael’s to be an even better beautiful gate for those who have yet to experience our wonder, and to continue the amazing work that stands like a beacon on Germantown Avenue. The monies will be used for repairs that will make the space safer and more conducive for the increased usage of St. Thomas Hall and for the children in the daycare space. (emergency lighting and fire alarms)
We’ve come this far by faith and by faith we will continue.
